Gaskets are sealing parts between 2 moving machine parts that aid seamless repetitive motion. They need to be very precise to prevent materials from leaking.

From simple to complex, from prototype to large production, knife-cutting gasket-producing machines may satisfy all of your needs for gasket making, using a designer or CAD file.

Our automatic gasket-cutting machines work best for gaskets in food processing, chemicals, energy production, petrochemicals, aerospace, autos, and more.

Which Materials can Gasket Cutting Machines Cut

Depending on mechanical, chemical, thermal, or acoustic constraints, the choice of gasket material is essential for maintaining exact sealing. Materials like flexible rubbers, graphite, PTFE, aramid, carbon, fiber, and mica, are most suitable for making gaskets.

Here is a list of materials that can be cut using our automatic gasket-cutting machine.

  • Compressed Fiber – Compressed fiber can be cut using our CNC gasket cutting machine.

A variety of materials, including non-asbestos, PTFE-filled, fiberglass, and aramid/NBR materials in sheets and rolls can be placed upon the bed-type table for cutting.

  • Rubber – Our automatic gasket-cutting machine can cut rubber up to 1 inch thick (25mm).

Examples of soft and semi-ridge rubber materials are Neoprene, Silicone, Gum Rubber, Butyl, Nitrile, Viton®, Buna N, EPDM, Urethane, and Diaphragm.

The machine can cut precise gaskets out of these materials.

  • Foam and Sponge – Our CNC gasket cutting machine can cut foam or sponge up to a thickness of 4 inches (100mm) and are best suitable for cutting flexibly. Semi rigid foam or sponge.

Examples of closed-cell sponge materials include neoprene, EPDM, PVC, polyester polyurethane, vinyl nitrile, nitrile (Buna-N), silicone, epichlorohydrin (ECH), polyurethane, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), and natural open cell sponge.

Foam materials include crushed cellular foam, cross-linked polyethylene foam, open-cell polyurethane foam, and open-cell urethane foam.

  • Plastic – Our gasket-making machine may cut through molded or plastic materials. The plastic’s hardness and thickness will affect the cut’s depth.

Cut materials like nylon, acetal, carbon fiber, polycarbonate, PTFE, acrylic, vinyl, and plastic laminates.

  • Cut Felt and Fiber – Yes, felt and other fiber materials can be cut with our gasket-producing machine.

Fiber materials including High-Temperature Ceramic Fiber Felt, Vellumtherm, Ceramic Paper, Vellumoid Vegetable Fiber, and NBR Carbon Fiber Sheet can be cut using CNC-operated gasket cutting machines.

Carbon fiber, polymer, glass fiber, and ceramic wool are examples of other textile fibers that can be cut.

  • Cork – Cork is a preferred material used to cut gaskets.

Because of its waterproofness, compressibility, and durability, cork, which is made from the bark of the cork oak tree, has been used as a sealing material for centuries and is still in use today. With our dieless knife cutter, the majority of composition cork and cork/rubber materials can be cut.

  • Leather – Our machines can cut faux leather and genuine leather.
  • Paper – You can cut corrugated paper, extra hard paper, and poly-coated paper.
  • Industrial Fabric – Industrial textiles are used in many industries, including automotive, printing, heat-resistant belting, and processing.

For instance, Carbon Fiber is used in brake pad linings and automotive and aerospace parts. Reinforcement fabric is used in extrusions. Rubber connections and hose are vulcanized using woven cure wrap.

Fiberglass yarns, carbon graphite, polyester, Aramid fibers, E- and S-glass, Nextel, Nomex, Spectra, Zylon, Kevlar, Gore-tex, and Teflon are some examples of materials that can be cut with our with the help of our CNC gasket cutting machine.

  • Adhesive Materials – Cut adhesive materials easily with the help of our automatic gasket-cutting machine.

In the production of converted adhesive tape solutions, it is a favored method due to the ease of doing kiss-cuts and multi-depth cuts.

A wide variety of adhesive tape materials, including foam tapes of different widths, transfer adhesives, and double-coated film tapes, can be cut.

How do our Automatic Gasket-cutting Machines Work?

A custom-built die is not necessary for our gasket-making machine. It is designed around a CNC system that operates an oscillating knife blade cutter on a programmable bed-style table.

The design is projected directly onto the cutting table by powerful LED lights. This enables the operator to see the layout and make improvements before cutting the material.

Automatic nesting functions are made possible by modern software, boosting yield and reducing wastage.

Conclusion

Our automatic gasket-cutting machine is specially designed to cut precise gaskets that can be used in high-precision industries without a second thought.
